PRESIDENT

Kailash Kasal is the guiding force behind K2 Group. A seasoned entrepreneur and strategic investor, he brings deep operational insight and a long-standing track record of identifying, acquiring, and enhancing high-performing assets.

Kasal began his career building and managing a successful network of convenience stores and gas stations, demonstrating an early ability to scale businesses and create durable value. He later expanded into hospitality, where over the past 25 years he has led the acquisition, development, and operation of a portfolio of branded hotels across key Ontario and Quebec markets. His hands-on involvement - from deal sourcing and underwriting to active asset management has shaped K2 Group’s disciplined approach and its reputation for execution excellence.

Beyond business, he is an active philanthropist and community supporter, dedicated to giving back and fostering meaningful, long-term impact.

MANAGING DIRECTOR

As Managing Director of K2 Group, Thomas Jacob leads the firm’s investment strategy, capital deployment, and portfolio operations, combining institutional discipline with entrepreneurial agility to build enduring value.

An accomplished investor and entrepreneur, Thomas has founded and backed companies across healthcare, renewable energy, consumer, and technology sectors. He is an active investor in Braxia Health, a growing Canadian healthcare platform, and co-founder of Sunly Energy, one of Canada’s leading renewable energy firms.

His investment philosophy is rooted in partnership, stewardship, and thoughtful risk-taking, with a focus on creating durable enterprises that generate lasting impact for investors, partners, and communities.

Thomas is a QuantumShift Fellow from the Ivey Business School, is completing the Owner/President Management (OPM) program at Harvard Business School, and is a member of YPO.
